2018 Visual Effects Contenders

The Academy announced yesterday the list of 20 films being considered for the award for Best Visual Effects this year. There are some extremely strong contenders here already, and the best news is that the majority of these films are already available on disc or streaming services. You can probably check your local library or RedBox for very affordable viewing options.

From this full list of 20 films, the Academy will narrow it to a shortlist of ten films for final consideration before being narrowed further to five final nominees.
