The Oscar Project
Now that the Golden Globe nominations have been released, we can start to get a good idea of which films will be landing nominations for the Academy Awards when they are announced next month. I am only including the film categories for the Golden Globes as there are no television categories at the Oscars. It is also worth noting is many of the categories at the Globes are split between drama and musical/comedy films. In most cases the Oscar nominations will be likely five selections from between those lists, with the exception being Best Picture which can have up to ten nominations at the Oscars. Where possible, I have included links to streaming services to watch the films along with trailer links in the titles. Best PictureBest Actress

No, it's not the Oscar nominations (January 22nd, 2019) but the list of Golden Globe nominations may be a good indication of the contenders to watch in the Oscar field this year for some of the top categories. So let's get down to it. The full list of nominations can be found on the Golden Globes website, but I want to take a look at a few things that jumped out at me as I reviewed the nominations. |
